3 Cardio Workouts to Lose 10 Pounds Fast

Cardio workouts are one of the best ways to lose weight and to do it quickly. Cardiovascular exercises simply burn a lot of calories and are one of the back-bones of any successful weight loss process.

However, cardio workouts aren’t all the same in terms of effectiveness. If you want to get the best results for your time, you need to make sure you do some workouts more than others. Let’s say you want to drop 10 lbs, wouldn’t you’d rather achieve this in a month than two? Unless you do the right workouts, you will end up wasting a lot of time and effort.

Here are 3 cardio workouts to lose 10 pounds fast:

1. Kickboxing classes – If you want to really break a sweat and have a lot of fun doing it, join a kickboxing class.

Kickboxing is a full body cardio workout session which is so different from regular cardio that even fit people find it challenging. Once you try to make those kicks and throw those air punches, you know that there are several aspects to being fit and this is an entirely new one.

I like kickboxing because it’s social, the time flies, and you get an awesome workout.

2. Running – This is a more solitary workout than kickboxing but still a classic and a personal favorite of mine. I love strapping on my iPod, putting on some tunes (the Beatles are my favorites) and go on a long run. Just make sure that you don’t run all the way at a medium pace. Do some sprinting and uphill running during your course to make sure you’re really pushing yourself to the limit.

3. Mountain climbers – I like this workout because you can do it at home with no equipment at all. It’s not only an awesome fat burning workout but works you quadriceps and buttocks.

You begin this workout by standing on your hands and toes. Now, you move one foot forward, bent at the knee, as if you were climbing a wall, only you’re really climbing the floor. Then, switch legs fast over and over again. Trust me, you will be short of breath very soon indeed. Make sure to keep your back as straight as possible during this workouts.
