Exercise to Alkalize – Reduce the Negative Effects of Stress

Stress can cause the body to be acidic. Too much acid results in an imbalance of acid to alkaline. Cellular activity is reduced and the aging process speeds up. It becomes difficult to get much value from good healthy foods.

When anyone is under heavy stress, it’s best to reduce the stress load (even just a little). By effectively communicating with the source of the stress you can begin to reduce the effects in some way. When communication does not work, it might be better to totally remove yourself from the effects of it.

Exercise and Nutritious Foods Work Together

To reduce the negative effects of stress, exercise appears to be the forerunner in building up the alkalizing process. A good exercise program can improve digestion thus setting the stage for nutritious foods to do their work as well.

By focusing on alkalizing actions, the body will straighten out the acid/alkaline ratio. Even if you are continually under heavy stress, you might want to follow these simple steps. The last three are actual exercises. Do the following steps as a daily routine.

  1. Upon rising, drink an 8 oz glass of good water.
  2. Spend about 5 to 10 minutes doing some gentle stretching exercises.
  3. Take a walk for at least 15 minutes. Working up to an hour a day is better. (Can be before or after breakfast whichever is good for you.)
  4. Set a simple but meaningful goal that you want to reach during the day and notice how well you did when the day is done.

Drinking a glass of good water and doing any gentle stretching exercises will open up the circulation channels of the body and begin the alkalizing process.

Walking will improve the circulation so alkalizing can begin with the fresh oxygen you get by walking.

Setting a simple goal everyday that you really want to accomplish can be life changing. When the goal is really meaningful to you, you begin looking forward to getting that goal met.

The stress factors may still exist, but you have one thing that IS truly important to you and must be done as well. Stress factors, sometimes, ease up and fade away. Simple goal setting IS an exercise and should be done everyday.

Glen (my husband) and I have changed our lives doing this little exercise program. It’s powerful when applied daily.

And… it’s amazing how this little program can help you get more value from the nutritious foods you eat. If you haven’t been eating very nutritious foods, you may want to begin. Life can just keep getting better and better.
