The Swing and Snatch Complex – A Great Cardio Routine That Stands Alone!

December 14, 2009
By Brandon Richey

When I refer to the swing and snatch complex I am specifically talking about the kettlebell swing and snatch. Both of these lifts are the foundation of strength endurance kettlebell exercises. If you have heard about the kettlebell then you probably know that this single device is one of the most hard hitting strength and conditioning tools around. This is the device that created athletic legends. Continue reading if I have your attention.

For an intense cardio workout routine you have got to implement the kettlebell swing and snatch complex. To begin this workout you must have the availability of a single kettlebell of moderate resistance. The lift complex is going to be performed by you initiating a set of single arm swings with the bell cranking out 10 reps in each arm. Once you have completed 10 reps of swings in each arm then immediately transition the bell back to the opposite arm to perform 10 snatches in each arm. As you transition the kettlebell from one arm to the next make sure to do so by properly transitioning the bell at the peak of each swing. This is done to ensure constant motion and full all out effort when trying to complete the complex. Go through all 40 reps with constant motion and without placing the kettlebell on the ground.

This cardio workout complex is sure to get your attention fast and will burn the calories at an insane rate. There is no better way to boost your cardiovascular fitness than by implementing the use of the kettlebell. Get used to an all out exerting workout when taming the iron bell throughout this lift complex. This great cardio workout is going to give you the benefit of both muscular and cardiovascular endurance. There is no shortchanging your workout once you have made a commitment to learn more about this ancient form of strength and conditioning training.
