Zumba Basics Workout DVD – A Great Way to Learn Zumba
So you want to lose weight and you heard that Zumba is a fun way to do it. For those people who are uncoordinated, new to Latin dance, or who do not learn steps very easily, it can be intimidating. Fortunately Zumba has created a great class on DVD that will make it simple for you.
The Zumba DVD set comes with a total of four discs. The first one has a class called Zumba Basics Workout. This is the one that will teach you all the steps in details. The Zumba Basics workout is a full hour covering 24 basic step variations and includes merengue, salsa, quebradita, cumbia, reggaeton, Carribean Island and samba.
The steps are taught brilliantly in what they refer to as a 3-level easy beat system. The levels are as follows:
- The steps are taught slowly without the arm or hip movements.
- In the next level the arm and hip movements are added but the rhythm is still done at half-tempo.
- In the third level you do the complete step at full tempo.
For beginners this is a great way to learn the steps of zumba. This is also a great way to learn the basics of latin dance. When you feel comfortable with the steps you well get more out of your workout and get quicker results.
On the same DVD is the 20-minute express workout. This workout will reinforce all the steps you just learned. It is a quick way to get some fun cardio exercise.
Remember that this DVD is part of a set which includes four more classes so the basics workout is not sold separately.
