Apple Cider Vinegar Weight Loss and Benefits

Using apple cider vinegar for health and weight loss has a long history. The ancient Egyptians used it for centuries. Hippocrates, the father of medicine used it almost exclusively to cure all sorts of ailments. Many modern day health-minded individuals and experts use and recommend using it as well.

The best type to use is raw, unfiltered and made from organic apples. There are many nutrients and compounds in this type that are beneficial. It contains tons of vitamins and minerals that support the immune system, promote healthy brain function and increase metabolism. It also promotes good oral health, assists in wound healing, increases energy levels and can reduce muscle and joint pain.

Several studies have been conducted that indicate that taking anywhere from one to three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with water before each meal can reduce the surge in blood sugar that follows that meal. This in turn lowers the amount of insulin needed by the body to process the carbohydrates or sugars that are ingested. This is helpful for diabetics and also makes it less likely that the body will store any excess calories in the form of fat. This makes fat loss and weight loss a lot easier.

While apple cider vinegar is acidic, it actually has an alkalizing effect on the body when taken orally. The modern diet which is full of processed foods tends to leave the body more acidic. This ph imbalance can cause many health problems. An overly acidic environment makes your body more susceptible to infections from bacteria and fungus. Apple cider vinegar has been shown to have antibiotic, antifungal and antiseptic properties as well. In addition it can help lower high cholesterol and also reduce fluid retention and thereby help lower high blood pressure.

It also has other benefits to weight loss like curbing your appetite and assisting with proper elimination. So when you use apple cider vinegar weight loss you also help your body to achieve the proper ph balance, fight off infection and improve your overall health.
