Learn How to Avoid Fat Calories by Making Smart Choices
The fat calories that can result from your diet are highly undesirable. The most ideal way to eliminate them from your diet is to keep a careful count of the calories that you consume. Keeping a food journal will also allow you to identify any negative or counterproductive eating habits you may have. In addition to keeping track of your daily caloric intake, you can always keep track of the calories that you burn during the week. If you consume more calories than your goal, it will be easy to know how many you should burn by the end of the week to balance things out.
There are numerous fat calories in friend foods. Therefore, you should do your best to avoid this type of food at all costs. Fried foods are fried in a mixture of oil and fat. Whenever a vegetable or fruit is cooked, the process removes almost half of the nutrients that are found in the food. Also, processed foods tend to be very high in sugars, which are used in the preservation process for the food. Along a similar vein, you should also limit your intake of eggs to no more than three servings a week. Eggs are high in unhealthy forms of cholesterol. Whenever possible, you may want to substitute egg beaters (or fake eggs) during your weekly egg routine.
Chocolate can be a source of comfort for some individuals, especially women. However, to remain in keep with your lower fat calorie count, chocolate should be an occasional indulgence rather than a routine in your eating habits. If you simply must have chocolate, you should opt for dark chocolate rather milk chocolate or white chocolate. Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidants which have been proven to have a positive impact on your heart. You should also avoid consuming your dark chocolate with milk. It is thought that milk interferes with your body’s ability to absorb the antioxidants found in dark chocolate.
