The Safe Method For Losing Weight at a Quick Pace

Every person, at one time or another, has found themselves in a situation where they needed to lose quick weight. You may have a family reunion or a friend’s wedding coming up, and it is natural that you will want to look your best. It is possible to achieve your desired weight loss in a short amount of time. However, you should be warned that you will most likely gain this weight back quickly, because the majority of the weight that you lose will be comprised of muscle mass and water weight. These are two essential elements that your body needs to function. It is also highly important that you prevent your body from going into starvation mode by dropping your metabolic rate. In this state of emergency, your body tends to increase the amount of calories that it stores as fat.

Your first step to lose quick weight will be to incorporate strength training workouts into your daily routine. By doing so, you will elevate your metabolism each day. An elevated metabolism will allow your body to burn more calories during your normal daily routine than you otherwise would. Strength training also allows your body to develop more lean, muscle mass. Lean muscle mass allows your body to burn calories more efficiently, as well. If you do not wish to do strength training, then you can substitute interval training. Interval training is essentially short periods of intense physical activity that are alternated with less intense periods of activity.

Your next step to lose quick weight will be to modify your diet. As aforementioned, you will want to prevent your body from entering into starvation mode. Rather than three large meals a day, you should eat four to six smaller meals. It is important to make sure that these meals contain protein, which will be invaluable in allowing your body to maintain its newly acquired muscle and energy levels. You should then determine what your average, daily caloric intake is and reduce this number by one thousand calories. There are roughly 3,500 calories in a pound. By deducting 7,000 calories a week from your diet, you will be able to lose two pounds a week, if not more.

It should be advised that this is not the healthiest manner to lose quick weight, but it is efficient. It can be dangerous to your body to lose more than two pounds a week, because your metabolism has to adjust its metabolic processes to accommodate your body’s new weight. Ideally, if you know you have an upcoming event, you should allow yourself enough time to lose the weight in a healthy manner. By doing so, you will increase the chances that you have of making your weight loss permanent.
