Liquid Multivitamin – A Better Supplement Source
Most people at one time or another have taken a multivitamin. Even though little research exist that documents their effectiveness, people still swear by them.
One of the main reasons for the lack of total confidence in these supplements has to do with the fact that many of the nutrients are quickly expelled from your body before they have any effect. Some estimates are up to 90 percent of the vitamins are not properly absorbed in your body before they are expelled as waste. This result does little to enhance your health, which in the end is just a waste of your money.
Liquid Multivitamin
Liquid multivitamin on the other hand allows for better bodily absorption. Some of the higher quality liquid vitamins can have up to 100 percent absorption rates. The reason for this primarily has to do with the fact that since they are in liquid form, your body has less work to do to break them down before your cells can use them. This allows the vitamins to enter your bloodstream quicker and take effect faster.
In addition to being more readily absorbed, liquids are easier to swallow than pills. You can add the liquid vitamins to your juice or take it by the spoonful.
However, one drawback with vitamins in liquid form has to do with the ease of taking more than the recommended dose. However, if you carefully follow the instructions listed on the label, this shouldn’t be a problem.
Another detail that you need to be aware of has to do with the ingredients other than the vitamins that are included in the liquid. To make the vitamin liquid form more palatable, sugar is sometimes added. To get the freshest and most bioactive vitamins, look for organic brands. More importantly, make sure that you read the label to see what’s included in the formula.
Finding brands should not be too difficult. Even though local grocers do not usually stock them, they can be easily found at your area health food store. And if no stores are conveniently located next to where you live, there many places online that you can find liquid multivitamins. Just make sure that you are able to read the ingredients label before you buy.
