There is a 6 week recovery period as you heal and rest from the surgery. You will then be given a very strict diet that you must follow so that you do not rupture your new stomach. So, please take it easy, and follow all of their instructions to the letter.

This will help you by restricting your calorie intake, because of the much smaller stomach.

This will result in rapid weight loss, so that you can get to your ideal weight quicker.

Should I Get This Surgery?

This is a hard question to answer. And in all honesty, this should be a last resort to losing weight. First you should try a proper diet, and regular exercise for weight loss.
